What it does
Paste a link to a YouTube video or Short and Shorts Downloader shows every quality YouTube actually offers for it, from 144p up to 4K, plus an audio-only option. Pick one and it downloads as a single file, named after the video.
How it works
- Only the video ID is used. The link you paste is checked in your browser and on the server. Only the 11-character video ID is passed on to YouTube; the server never visits the link you typed.
- Original quality. Files come straight from YouTube's streams. Above 360p, YouTube keeps picture and sound separate, so the server joins them into one MP4 with ffmpeg, copying the video without re-encoding.
- Nothing kept. Temporary files are deleted as soon as your download has been sent, or if it's cancelled. Links aren't stored.
What we stand for
- No dark patterns. No pop-ups, fake download buttons or redirects to other sites.
- Honest options. If a quality isn't available, we don't pretend it is. If a download fails, we tell you why.
