Why not just copy it on YouTube?
On phones, the YouTube app doesn't let you select text in a description at all, and on desktop long descriptions are folded behind Show more, so copying the whole thing neatly takes several tries. Here it's one button, on any device.
How YouTube chapters work
Chapters come from timestamps in the description. YouTube shows them when the list starts at 0:00, has at least three timestamps in order, and each chapter is at least 10 seconds long. If a video's chapters are listed in the results, YouTube accepted them.
Description limits
A YouTube description can be up to 5,000 characters. Only the first two or three lines show before Show more, and the first three hashtags appear above the title, which is why creators put the most important words first.

How do I copy a YouTube video description?

Can I download a description as a text file?

Does it include chapters and links?
Yes. Chapters are listed with clickable timestamps, and every link in the description is listed separately so you can copy them all at once.
How long can a YouTube description be?
Up to 5,000 characters. The results show how many characters, words and lines a description has.
Why is the description empty?
Some creators don't write one, which is common for Shorts. If the result says there's no description, the creator left it blank.
